This course introduces students to the fundamentals of music improvisation through listening, theory, and performance. Students will learn how to interpret lead sheets, understand basic harmonic movement, develop melodic ideas, and interact within an ensemble setting. Emphasis is placed on creativity, listening, and building confidence in improvisation.
