Students will examine interpersonal and marital relationships from a variety of theoretical and conceptual frameworks to gain an understanding of the changes in society relative to marriage and family. Students will recognize the impact of personality and communication styles as well as recognize the developmental stages of relationships. Students will analyze interpersonal relationships using various theoretical perspectives while learning how to develop an implement relationship enhancement and enrichment strategies, such as effective communication, problem solving, and anger and conflict management strategies.
