Concentration Requirements
Consists of 18 credit hours. Majors in business administration may pursue a concentration in accounting. The concentration consists of 18 core credits. Six credits from the concentration may be applied to the requirements for the major.
Required Courses
To become a licensed CPA in Virginia, the Virginia Board of Accountancy requires candidates to complete 150 credit hours of education, plus the full-time equivalent of one year of relevant accounting experience. Candidates may also complete requirements for CPA licensure in Virginia with a bachelor’s degree, two years of professional experience, and passage of the CPA Exam.
